What is Anthropomorphism?

Many of the characters within Riesel Tales, including the main characters, are anthropomorphic, but what does that entail?

"Humanity with a twist" is a good descriptor. Also known as "furry" as per common parlance, anthropomorphic (or "anthro") characters are physically characterized by a humanoid body with traits one would expect to see on animals, such as fur, a snout, pronounced ears, and other such features. This is in combination with other Human features such as eyebrows, focused eyes with visible sclerae (whites of the eyes), and possibly styled hair atop the head. Their faces, despite having animalistic features, exhibit Human intelligence and convey Human familiarity.

Psychologically, they are Human in every way, perhaps with a few deviations depending on culture and biochemistry. They are sapient: they possess the ability to speak and reason, express complex emotions, utilize advanced tools, create art, and usually favor clothing as opposed to nudity (regardless of fur coverage).

Taking the above into account, anthro characters are not animals. They are simply Humans with extra steps.
