First-person bio, GO!

I came into this world in 1987 with a love science fiction. I've loved it ever since I was a kid. I loved it so much, I decided to write about it.

"If you LOVE it so much, why don't you MARRY it?!"

Believe me, I've looked into it.

It's not just about the sci-fi. I write about the general happenings of life within a sci-fi setting. In a reflection of my own life, my characters often have to experience hardship before getting what they want. Grit and cynicism are common themes in my stories, but that just makes the light at the end of the tunnel even brighter -- and it's not the headlight of an incoming freight train, either. The darkness is pierced by the brightness of comedy, whether it's Runge and Ramy taking wry jabs at each other or some sort of idiosyncratic circumstance putting an amusing twist on a situation. This is all mixed in with a richly detailed depiction of a future world that has seen one too many downturns.

"But Roy! That doesn't explain WHO you are! This is a bio!"

I am Roy, of course. I live in a house and own a hat. I love videography, reading, writing, gaming, watching anime, writing, and Jesus. A diverse lot of stuff. I also record myself doing things and post these recordings on two YouTube channels.

"COOL! What's next?!"

More of Two Hunters, several more series within the Riesel universe, and some other stuff that has nothing to do with Riesel.

I leave you with this gratuitous Latin question: Quid vos venari?
